Devan is a phenomenal dancer, his hips and legs moving in easy coordination, his arms strong and soft on her skin. He grins at her. "Did you not know men like us were in your backyard?" He asked. "Waiting for our chance?" // Alex sees the dragon prince Viserys laughing, then he tries bravely to hold it in while she sees him, but his smile is mirthful rather than truly mean. "I saw one when I was overseas fighting with the Targaryens," he said, "they unleashed one against some Norvosi soldiers who had killed an emissary. It was..like seeing the hammer of god." He leaned in, "but you've matched its fire." // The dragon princess found this talk more appealing. "Well, she said, "I shall visit Oldtown," she stated. "And soon. I am quite bored of being in Pentos right now. There's nothing going on, which means my mother finds the most inane activities for me to do." "And what sorts of activities do you prefer?" Perceon inquired. "Oldtown is quite a versatile city, with something for any taste. And you must visit Highgarden if you are coming all the way to see Oldtown!"

She looked at him. "I read, travel, shop, and watch men hit each other with pointed objects," she said. "Oldtown sounds rather more exciting than Highgarden," she pointed out. "Are they near each other?"

"That depends on what you consider to be a distance." Perceon replied. "Highgarden is nearer Oldtown than many of the other major holdings in the Reach. But it is still a decent distance on horseback. Oldtown might be more to your tastes, but I'll wager my family are better hosts than the Hightowers."

"Isn't your family married to the Hightower?" She asked. "I met your brother on my father's ship yesterday." She shrugged. "Well, perhaps I shall come then," she said. "What sort of welcome would I get?"

"Oh, I do not mean to insult House Hightower. I am sure they would accord you an excellent reception. But they are not House Gardener." Perceon replied. "And you would receive a welcome befitting a member of your family, of course. We would offer you a tour of our gardens, which I believe to be amongst the best in the world. We would have a feast, admittedly smaller than this one, but that would simply be due to our not possessing a hall of this size. And we would make up for the smaller setting by serving better food and drink than the riverlands is capable of offering. And then, should you wish, we could take you on a cruise of the mander, which is a river - the largest river - in the Reach."

She considers it. 'I see. A cruise, hm? It sounds rather interesting. I shall see if my father will accept such a generous offer," she concluded. "And I thank you for the invitation."

"Well, fire is something a dragon and the hightower have in common, even if we use it differently. Do you like fire, my prince," she grinned at vuserys, "I love it"

"I thank you for your consideration of it." Perceon replied. "We would be delighted to host you should you accept."
He looked out into the crowd. "So, are there any among your family who you favour to win an event here?"

"Perhaps not so far as praying, I am less interested in who wins the tournament than you might think. It hardly changes anything does it? Will just make one of you men king for a day a little prematurely." She smiled and looked at him, "I am sure he will do well enough wearing my favour though" "It doesn't change a thing." he agreed. "However the smallfolk seem to like our little contests. Perhaps even some of the nobles do as well. It has the added beenfit of keeping some of us occupied while we wait in the wings for something useful to do."

"I am sure being the crown prince you have no shortage of things to occupy your time... speaking if which I shall occupy it no longer. We should talk again though?" She offered, her tone clear it was not a requirement if he did not wish it.

He asked her. "I suppose finding out will cost me dearly." He smiled into her eyes. "For what is more pricey than one's own heart?"

I'd enjoy being the Queen of Beauty here." She pointed to Prince Baelor. "He doesn't lose very often."

"I shall watch for him in the final then. And if he carries the day, there are few I can think of who would be worthier of the crown than you." Perceon said, attempting to offer her a compliment. "But could you live with the jealous glares of all the other ladies once you claimed what is yours?"

"That depends who you ask." She said playfully, "like the fire I have the capacity to be both to whom it pleases me"
She pulled back a bit shocked, a playful going in her eye, "you've already lost your heart, my prince? Wherever will you find it?"

"Princes are lining up to speak to me in a foreign land and I don't speak the language well," she said. "I am well used to harsh glares from those who are...inferior.

"You've only just met me," she said, "Is that the kind of woman you think I am?" She asked with a grin, "perhaps you'll find out."
She paused the dancing and smiled at hi, "would you get me a drink please? , you've made me very thirsty,"
If he went she turned to Viserys. "In Westeros It's rude to listen to other people's conversations." She raised her finger and wagged it lowly whilst tutting.

The Targaryen princess shrugged. "The northern one, the strange Stormlands one...you, now," she said. "Very good company, all."
//
Viserys looked at her with a bored expression. "In Pentos it is rude to leave one's dance partner under false pretenses," he said. "Especially when one wants a real fire, and is settling for perhaps a glowing ash, at best."

Perceon's tone made it clear he believed no such thing and was simply making conversation. "Prince Kyle I do know. He is good conversation indeed." Perceon beckoned for a servant to refill his glass. "Well, I am glad that I am living up to the high standard of my fellow royals thus far. I shall do my best to continue to impress."

Princesses Miranda and Miriam are at the table, being polite and distant, as so many of the Vale folk act. Amos waves Willem over. "Prince Willem! Meet my king's lovely daughters," he said. The pair are both brunette and brown eyed, and they smile at him. Miriam greets him first. "Thank you for your presence, my prince," she said delicately.

"I am stronger than I look, and those who test my resolve know not what they do." Perceon replied. "I understand what makes the Reach one of the wealthiest lands in westeros, and I understand what can ruin it. I am willing to do work others find boring or unworthy of them to improve the administration of my lands, and I am blessed with loyal siblings who more than compensate for my own inadequacies. I wise man knows his limitations, and I know mine." He considered her. "Why do you ask? My father has many years left in his reign, lest the gods decide to claim him before his time."
