With everyone finally present, King Harmund announces a feast for all. The streets will have bread and cheap beer to eat and drink, while inside the great castle's gigantic great hall, a thousand people can celebrate. Two days before the tourney starts, it is scheduled and set.
Being a man of great ambition and an indifference to the finer details, the king has dispensed with the usual seating chart. He sits near the head of the hall with spots for his fellow royals if they choose, but otherwise the seating is as people choose. Simply because of suspicion the kingdoms sit together as a general rule, but there's always a rabble rouser who finds a place in the middle of strangers to either get drunk and have a new audience to regale with stories, or to start the expected fight to be had in the gathering.
The hall is so large that three separate groups of musicians can play, and in the corner warriors test their prowess for fans of betting and gambling. For those of a more delicate and refined taste, the right corner nearest the entrance has a dance floor with Nute the Minstrel playing a harp and singing in his almost ethereal voice.

Melissa headed towards the high table. She wore a silk dress with a low neck and full skirts. It was deep green, embroidered with delicate flowers in a paler shade of green. The sleeves were formed of intricate lace. She wore a gold necklace with little jewelled flowers strung along the bottom, each one featuring a different coloured stones. Her hair was half up, half down. She looked around for a familiar face.

Perceon was already at the high table, garbed in a silvery-grey tunic and a darker pant, having been one of the first to arrive for the feast. He smiled at his sister as he saw her approaching, and then took a sip from his glass of wine.

She slid into a seat next to her brother. "Are you enjoying Harrenhal, Percy? I am, even more than I thought I would."
She thought of the Steel Mermaids and mentally hugged herself.

Theon is wandering around, greeting each royal family and most of the major houses. Again, he is so plainly adorned in black and grey, someone might think that he was a waiter. The only obvious clue is the number of local nobles who insist on bowing to him, which he politely returns with a smile. On occasion, he even laughs.

"It is an impressive place." Perceon replied enthusiastically. "I feel I could spend a day in this hall alone, and continue to spot new things of interest. Can you imagine how many men it must have taken to construct the entirety of the structure?"

"It is an impressive place." Perceon replied enthusiastically. "I feel I could spend a day in this hall alone, and continue to spot new things of interest. Can you imagine how many men it must have taken to construct the entirety of the structure?" "Approximately seven hundred thousand thralls." Chimed in the Iron Prince, having arrived at the Highgarden table. "Many of the records are lost from that time, but that's the number most scholars agree on. It was probably even higher, since Harren cared little for their safety. The legend goes that when Harren started work on the last tower, it would have been much easier to stack the bodies of the workers who had died building the other four." Theon Hoare. Life of the party.

"I suppose everything impressive comes with a cost." Perceon responded. "And a place this impressive has a grim cost indeed. But look at the use it is being put to now, uniting all the major families of westeros in an event that will surely have its own place in the histories of our grandchildren. I am sure its legacy will be a thing of pride rather than a discomfiting detail."

Melissa's eyes widened. "I was going to say I had no idea about the number of builders," she admitted. "I can barely accept the scale of this place, let alone imagine the effort it took to build it."

Prince Willem Lannister, resplendent in a red tunic embroidered with the gold lions of his house, sat at the high table as befitted the heir to Casterly Rock. He drank and ate sparingly, making small talk with the people around him.

She had already gotten an earful from Whoreson about galavanting with this lot, but she was curious.Naomi enters wearing an embroidered black jacket, silk black blouse with a deep cleavage cut and fine leather boots. She been saving them, all the blood had been washed out and the person who died for this outfit to be possible, clearly won't be needing it anymore. Instead of taking a seat she headed to the corner for a bit of gambling.
//// Donny waited until the Captain was well inside and slipped into the party. He too was dressed modestly well in a black tunic, with his hair combed so that his wearing a long ponytail of black curls. Quietly mingled in and out of the many guests, seeing which were easy marks for lighter pockets.

The boy sees plenty of nobles he doesn't recognize. He sneaks up to a man in a orange vest and quickly sneaks his purse out from his pocket. Whoever it was has no idea he'd struck.

With a small smirk, he places the heavy little purse under his tunic. Don enters the crowd again. he finds his captain and added a few of the coins in her pocket for gambling and disappears again.
////
Naomi nodded slightly to the small clinking she heard and stayed still watching the game that was in progress. He was a good lad, always thinking of his Captain.

"Indeed, your highness, and perhaps a monument will be built to those souls one day who are responsible for this day. It will mean little, but it's a beginning towards absolution." He turned to Melissa. "My lady, I don't joust... So I hope instead you might show me the favor of your first dance?" Theon held out a hand and grinned.

She smiled and took his hand. "Gladly, Prince Theon. I don't joust either, but I do dance." She regarded him thoughtfully. "I 've never heard of an ironman who jousts, anyway."

"I fear such a monument might not be as grand as Harrenhal." Perceon replied with a smile. "Perhaps we can build it in the Reach to ensure it is not overshadowed."
He made no objection to Theon offering his sister a dance, simply smiling and sipping his wine.

Theon lead the younger woman to the nearest band, and signaled for them to play something jolly. As he took her hands, he added, "I honestly have no notion of how to dance. But if I am going to fall on my ass in public, I wanted to make sure it was with you at least..."
The line probably sounded better in his head.

Prince Geralt Gardener and Lady Alyssa Hightower arrived at the feast, the former dressed in a fine white and green striped silk doublet, Vigilance hanging proudly from his hip. The knight escorted his wife to the royal Gardener table, one of the few honors that came with his station rather than her own, and pulled out a chair for her.

Ser Clayton Crane entered and seated himself at one of the less populated tables near the back of the hall. He had left his armour under the care of his squire where they were camped outside. He was garbed in plain leathers and had a small knife at his side. He makes no attempt to socialize with anyone at his table as he sits, generally avoiding eye contact and waiting for food.

Lady Abigail Lannister entered the feast hall, striding past the first few tables in an elegant fashion. She wore a gold dress trimmed with crimson, respectable and yet somewhat suggestive. None of her father's guards were with her, however the towering Ser Dustin Crakehall was her escort today. Ignoring the tables of the westerners, Abi veered straight for the tables of the Ironborn and more raucous Riverlanders, deciding to show apprectiation and respect for the host nation. That and potentially overhear some things. Finding an empty seat at a table she sat, Ser Dustin taking the chair to her left.

Lady Alyssa looked truly resplendent, her hair was loosely tied in a complicated braid round her back which must have taken a long time to weave in an of itself, but into her braid were littered tiny diamonds which caught the light spectacularly. Not usually one for wearing house colours she made an exception today, wearing a figure flattering grey dress, the bodice tight and armless while the skirts swishes and flared as she spun or walked.
She gave her husband a gracious smile as he pulled her chair out, the very image of the perfect couple and sat down with him, holding his hand lightly for a while, before removing it after an acceptable amount of time had passed. "How modern of The King to level things."

"You think I'm handsome? Stop, I can't have the reavers seeing me blush like a maid," he drolled, well accustomed to sifting through his wife's deluge of slights for the barest glimmer of a compliment. "You're right though, the only woman in this hall half as pretty as yourself is Prince Willem," he motioned to the Lannister heir.

"But do you not see how awkward that is for me?" She teased. "If you fall down, you will pull me with you and we shall both be horribly embarrassed. I'm not at all sure that was the best decision if you are hoping to impress me. But I'll give you a chance. I know this song and the dance moves that go with it. Just try not to step on my toes or the hem of my gown."

When they started moving, Theon kept looking down at his feet to avoid breaking something expensive, like royal toes. He managed to enjoy himself with the princess though.
