"You told me I would like your surprise." Perceon responded. "It was only fair for me to offer something I knew you would like in return."
He looked at his brother, no longer praying as fervently he would carry the day. "I have faith in my brother. But if Prince Kyle outlasts him I would be happy to fulfill the terms of our bet." He stood up, and offered her a hand. "I can introduce you to my father now, if you like. This is a good time; his mood is always better when the knights of the reach are about to give a good account of themselves in some event."

Bethan looked surprised but she nodded and took his hand. Percy saw Asha smiling at him pleasantly from her perch.

Perceon smiled back at her as he led Bethan over to his father. He didn't owe asha any particular loyalty, as by Bethan's admission she had indeed been sampling the royalty of all the kingdoms. It was not as if she could begrudge him doing the same of one.
"Good day, father." Perceon commented. "I would like to introduce Princess Bethan Durrandon to you. I believe she will be a great friend of the Reach for many years to come." He looked to Bethan. "Bethan, this is my father, King Grayson."

The princess bowed lightly, "Your Grace," she said in a delicate voice. Grayson nodded to her politely and rose himself.
"Princess Bethan," he said, "a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My son will not stop talking about you," he joked. "I had half thought he had made you up to make me happy." She smiled at him.
"I am quite real," she promised. "I do hope to be a friend of the Reach for a long time," she confirmed, and she curtsied again.

"I would not be capable of inventing someone so interesting." Perceon replied, smiling at how well things had gone. "But i do not want to get in the way of your view of the action. We shall leave you to watch Geralt and his fellows carry the day." Perceon told his father.
He opted to avoid embarrassing bethan by sharing with his father she thought the Stormlanders stood a chance against the order of the green hand. "Well, back to where we came from?" He asked Bethan.

She smiled and nodded again to the king, and he kissed her hand. "A pleasure meeting you," he said. They headed back to their seats as the contestants formed their lines.

"I am glad the two of you have met." Perceon told Bethan. "It will make things easier should I lose this bet, I think."

"I'd hope so," she said, "I've been told I am quite good at first impressions. And your father wants to like me anyway, which helps." She winked. "Now, watch as your bet crumbles to dust before your eyes...."

"You did splendidly." Perceon nodded. "But I don't share your faith your men will replicate your strong performance. Not when there are Reachmen still standing."

She shrugged. "We will see. You should come to Storm's End." She nodded. "Meet my father. It's only fair."

She smiled at that but as she went to respond the battle began, and now there is only the cheering of the stands and the shouting of fans as the knights and warriors clash!

Melissa sat in the stands, eager to watch Geralt compete and hopefully trounce the others. She was dressed in Gardener green and white, to show her support. A part of her was sad that she wasn't able to compete, yet it was clearly her duty to be seen in the stands so she sat close to Perceon and kept her own counsel. However, she did look around to see if either Torrhen Stark or Sammael Martell were present.

Perceon smiled at his sister as she joined him and the Stormlanders, but could not offer any conversation due to the volume of the ongoing melee and cheering.

Melissa smiled to see Ser Wayland wearing the favour she had promised him a few days ago. She spotted the two men she was currently considering as future husband, should they express a clear interest in her, and prayed silently that the Warrior would give them strength. She would talk to them later, gods willing.
In the meantime, she spotted the Martell princesses and waved to them.

Abigail Lannister arrived at the melee to watch these noble idiots bashing each others heads in. She wore a gorgeous organge satin dress, the tight corset of which did its best to advertise her best assets. It had a slit along the front of the skirt too, which showed off her legs as she walked and then sat. Her hair fell over one shoulder like a gorgeous waterfall and in her ears were two small rubies.

She ended up watching The Melee next to Alexandra Hightower, who was next to a woman who looked a lot like her, but was looking round the crowd.
Alex looked round and grinned. "What a gorgeous colour!" She exclaimed, she was wearing red herself, tight but dignified.

Abigail looked up at the girl who had just spoken to her, smiking at the compliment. "Oh, thank you," Abi responded, looking the girl up and down. "I quite admire how your dress fits you." She leaned in and looked over to a group of nobles who were eyeing the girls up. "No doubt so do those fine lords over there," Abi added with a giggle.

"Everything better?" She asked. "After all the drama of the last few days?" A Reachman crushes a Vale knight in single combat near them. "My oh my how violent!" She said with a squeal of glee.

Melissa looked down at the fighting men. "Men do love their violence," she replied. "Lilith is safe, thank the gods, and Father wasn't quite as angry as I thought her would be, in the end, so I suppose it worked out. I'm so grateful for your family's assistance. I won't be sorry to leave here. Hopefully I can come and visit Sunspear."

Arianna nodded. "I hear you there, these louts give me the creeps," she said. "They offered women as a reward for one of their events." She shook her head. "Who are you rooting for? Who is..." she saw Ser Wayland, "that?"

Perceon smiled at his sister as she joined him and the Stormlanders, but could not offer any conversation due to the volume of the ongoing melee and cheering. As the West and Reach cross blades, Bethan cheers for Geralt to fall down as they battle the northmen. "Sorry," she winked. She sees Kyle smash a man with his hammer and she goes wild, while Percy and Melissa can take comfort in their brother and kingdom doing a very fine job of sticking together as a disciplined unit. Asha is wildly cheering for her Riverlands twins and the place is an utter madhouse. Saris said and Arianne curse as their brother and chief bannermen fall. "Damn," the elder Dornishwoman said. "Seven Hells damned Ironborn."

Perceon commented to Bethan, in good humour.

"My brother is still out there," she noted, "and Lord Emmitt is a good friend of mine, I hope they squash everyone they face into dust." She looked at him. "Doesn't like like they'll have much trouble," she laughed.

"I think Geralt has a good chance of victory," she said. "But I'm sorry about Samael."

"Is there anyone in particular you are cheering for?"

"He's had too much wine lately anyway, too many women he's spoken to instead of training. But he is handsome," she said about Wayland. "He made it through the first rounds at least and passed the water break." she looked to Percy and the Stormlanders. "And that's your brother?" She asked.
