Troop types:
Levies: farmers and shop keeps with spears and wooden shields.
Archers: Attack from a distance. Essential for sieges or firing across other natural barriers.
Heavy infantry: used for garrisons and for the breaking of shield walls in war. Spears, chain, axes, some have swords or other melee weapons.
Light cavalry: Used for scouts and flanking. Essential for finding goof ground and knowing what an enemy is doing and where he's doing it
Heavy cavalry: Used to crush armies and maintain the peace. Once archers or infantry breaks the order of a line the knights storm in to take all the credit.
Engineers: Used to make fortifications and break them. Levies can chop wood and dig holes, but engineers make the plans that turn the tunnels and logs into weapons and forts.
