The High Septon greets him. "Your Grace," he said. "I mourn your father's passing. I know the Father greeted him warmly. He was as fine a king as could have ever been desired, wise and strong and pious." He rose on his old legs. "And now the Seven have placed their faith in you, my son."

Perceon bowed respectfully to the man as he stood to greet him. "I thank you for your condolences, your holiness. My father was a great man, and I hope to live up to his example." Pleasantries taken care of, Perceon got straight to business. "I have come to see you in the hopes of begging a favour of the faith."

"Kings need not beg from the Faith," the pontiff said. "What is it, my son?"

"I was hoping to be married and crowned here, under the eyes of the gods. It would be a great honour, and would remind me that they shall judge all I do throughout my reign." Perceon responded, before adding. "If it is convenient, I hope my sister might be wed here to Prince Willem Lannister at the same time."

"Of course," the holy man said. "The blessed union of the three great kingdoms of the Faith, come together to defend us all from the menaces of the impious!"

"I hope the gods look upon the unions with favour, and are as pleased by the coming together of their followers as I." Perceon smiled. "The faith has my gratitude for its generosity in offering the Starry Sept to formalize these bonds."

"What is the Fairh but the will of the gods? The gods seek that their followers unite. What better way to celebrate such an event?"

Perceon thought of all the events that had transpired that had led the Reach to its current allies. "No doubt you are right." he concurred. "I would not doubt the gods played a part in uniting our kingdoms, and I look forward to celebrating the union with you here."
