This game has brought in some new skills and such and even with 600 points it might feel like you're stretched thin. part of the reason for having you guys playing young PCs is because I want a steady rate of advancement for skills, so going 80 into everything may not be the wisest course if you want a well rounded character.

We are moving along quickly with PCs so the game is getting close to launch. I am thinking Monday for pre-RP and late next week for the ironborn festival (bet no one expected to read that phrase)

Pre-RP has officially begun. Players can post int heir house boards for now and if any NPCs are requested just add it into a thread and we'll get it going.

I added Zack's weapon bonuses from break the curse to skills, which he did to give every weapon a bit of utility in difference circumstances

Relevant to the game but I don't know if I'm allowed to post in the setting board so I'll put this here. I looked up some details about the different houses that would be around in our setting.
Canonically Extinct Houses
These houses have died out before the events of ASOIAF but are known to have been in existence prior to the Targaryen Conquest and would therefore be present in our timeline. I'm counting Hollard since Dontos is the last one and dies without an heir.

Darklyn of Duskendale
Hollard
Reyne of Castamere
Tarbeck of Tarbeck Hall
Toyne
Canonical houses that don't exist in the game
Our altered history prevents the creation of the following houses as they are tied to events based around the canonical history.

Royce of the Gates of the Moon

Questionable - subject to admin discretion?
Velaryon. A Valyrian house. I figured they came west with House Targaryen, but we know that Dragonstone was a Valyrian outpost before Aenar Targaryen showed up so it's possible Driftmark was too. Either way, we don't know for sure.

There will be a feast for PCs starting tomorrow so you all can gather while my surgery is ongoing. I plan on starting the fighting part of the tourney Sunday or Monday at latest; depends on how I react to the Percocet.

Jon actually ran a short D&D game and introduced it. It's handy for transparency and saves the admin some work. It's definitely too unwieldy for battles, but certainly handy for social rolls and duels. There's something empowering abount making your own rolls.  |
