The North:
King Beron Stark (44): A stern, serious and generally unpleasant man, the middle aged King of the North is disliked among most who meet him, but it is sad there is no realm half so safe as the endless emptiness north of the Twins. Twice the armies of the North have ridden down when House Hoare's aggressions have grown too great in the last half century, and twice they have managed to force an end to wars.
Queen Arya Manderly (39): The queen of the North is a warm hearted woman, a follower of the Faith brought from the Mander by her kin. Her father Lord Bryce is the richest man in the north, with more available gold and silver even than the king, but a craven who rebelled twice, and lost his sons as a result.
The Vale:
King Artos Arryn (66): The King of Mountain and Vale is a strange man, widely regarded as some form of sorcerer, a thin, cruel individual who had children only late in life. The Vale is as haunted in fact as it seems in person, the King's eyes and ears posted behind every corner, feeding the reclusive monarchs paranoid fantasies of traitors and spies.
Queen Elise Hunter (41): King Artos's third wife, and the only one who was able to provide heirs to the kingdom, Queen Elise is now seldom seen or heard from, appearing only rarely, her skin pale like lace.
The Kingdom of Isles and Rivers:
King Harmund Hoare (57): King Harmund is both legend and bogeyman, a seeming myth in his own time, a raider in his early life, a successful conqueror as he aged, he has now ruled the center of Westeros for thirty years, crushing revolts and enemies alike beneath his grim boots. He is a boor, uncultured, the opposite of his son and heir, but his crude nature belies his political savvy, and his negotiations and alliances with other kingdoms have prevented his enemies from ever uniting against him.
Queen Ysela Smallwood (17): Forty years King Harmund's junior, the nominal queen of Harrenhal is a glorified trophy, taken at age twelve from her family when they joined in the Riverlands rebellion against his iron rule. Ysela had been betrothed to one of Harmund's grandchildren, but instead of breaking the marriage oath, the lecherous and vengeful king simply took her for himself, and none consider the quiet girl anything more than a pet in a very large cage.
"Queen" Larissa Dayne (49): The favorite of Harmund's salt wives, Larissa is older now but her mind is nimble and she cooperates effectively with Prince Erik to ensure that the old and despised King Harmund maintains power. She has born him six children, four of whom survived to their teen years. In truth, she is not a true salt wife, as Harmund took her by her own willingness to escape a marriage to the far more despised Artos Arryn, destroying the galleon ferrying her to Gulltown and carrying her to Harrenhal personally.
Melissa Morrigen, Amelia Fell, Helena Footly: The other three salt wives of Harmund, taken over the last decade in his ceaseless small wars against House Durrandon.
The Stormlands:
King Arwyl "Old Storm" Durrandon (49): A gifted tactician but poor strategist, the king at Storm's End has dissipated much of his kingdom's strength in short sighted wars that start well before grinding either into unsustainable attrition, or by attacks from hostile neighbors in undefended parts of his realm. At near fifty, it is unlikely the old dog can learn new tricks.
Queen Kiele Swann (46): A stately and dignified woman, Kiele's diplomatic efforts are often undermined by her husband's warmongering.
(the) Dorne:
Princess Serena Martell (35): The ruler of Dorne is a shrewd, underhanded, thoroughly hated woman across Westeros, but domestically her policies and attitude are well respected. She finds armies cumbersome, expensive, and inconvenient, and insults or thrats to Dorne had best employ very hardy taste testers for their food, as she has no concept of a proportionate response.
Lord Verro Assari (39): Lady Serena's consort is a noble of the best blood of Tyrosh, and the pair make a fine match in terms of creativity in revenge and exacting pain.
The West:
King Harys Lannister (47): The second son of his father, Harys's brother fell in battle long ago. The young prince adapted quickly to his changed circumstance and eventually became a king of great wealth and renown. His reputation as a knight of peerless chivalry and vast wealth remains undimmed by age, and he is well liked and respected from Oldtown to Lys.
Queen Alyssa Marbrand (44): A lovely woman of middle years, Queen Alyssa is quiet and pious, focused on the charitable works of the Faith and its application across the kingdom. She rides often with her grim bodyguard, Ser Cedric, and can often be found giving money to septs who have people in need to feed and clothe.
The Reach:
King Grayson Gardener (56): King Grayson is a giant of.a man, powerful and broad even in the waning days of middle age, fond of feats of strength and still indisputably the finest boxer in the Reach. Age has tempered his edge a bit, but he is known as a capable warrior but indifferent general who prefers to allow favored lords to lead his armies. He is charming and warm to his daughter and bannermen but a stern and demanding father to his sons, whom he expects the world of.
Queen Lena Redwyne (52): Lena married King Grayson at the age of seventeen, and suffered over fifteen years of happiness tempered by the simple fact that she did not seem to be capable of becoming pregnant. When she finally conceived she proved remarkably fertile in her middle years, providing the Reach with four children, two boys and two girls. She is otherwise known for her love of sailing and wine, and a party hosted by the queen is guaranteed to be a highlight of one's life.
